Description
Cone 5-6. AMACO Celebration Glazes are a beautiful group of bright and pastel colors for stoneware that are as colorful as earthenware glazes.
Amethyst is an opaque, dark purple glaze that has a consistent, reliable result that is great for classrooms. Due to the purple pigment Amethyst might lose some of the rich purple color when fired at a higher temperature.
Several artists have experimented with the Celebration glazes in wood, soda, and salt at temperatures up to cone 12, which yielded great results!
Make sure you always test when exploring alternative firings for any of AMACO’s glazes.
